Following up his ambient solo-debut album “Ohms Love” (HMD Records 2022) Vullum started collaborating with the Polish saxophonist and composer Jerzy Maczynski (Polish Jazz, Yeyeh, UHF, Jerry & The Pelican System), and Swiss drummer Nicolas Stocker (KALI Trio, Nik Bärtsch 'Mobile', Maarja Nuut).
This resulted in a tour of Poland and Norway, with the trio performing new compositions by Vullum in prestigious venues like BLÅ in Oslo, Avant Art Festival, Wroclaw and an abandoned Sauna of a communist party building in Warsaw.
Ever present at these shows, was Polish visual artist Katarzyna Debska (CTM-Festival) creating a hypnotic, abstract experience with her live visuals interacting with the music. The contribution of both Stocker and Maczynski’s playing has taken Vullum’s compositions into a more rhythmic, improvised and experimental direction live, with a natural continuation of Vullum’s signature of cinematic soundscapes, and includes elements from free jazz, orchestral drone and harmonic ambient music. This collaboration will be the main core of Vullum’s next album, which will be recorded in Studio Paradiso in Oslo later this year.
Vullum also runs the label VIBRASJON. The first release “Ohms Love Variations” VIB001 was released in 2023 and is a remix-12” of material from “Ohms Love” by DJ/Producer Telephones (European Carryall/Sex Tags)
